Local Residents are invited to attend Starting a Business in Illinois Seminar at the Peotone Public Library. An evening workshop scheduled on Thursday, February 23, in Peotone. The program begins at 5:30 pm at the library, 515 N. First St., and will be presented free to community members thanks to the sponsorship of the library.
This two-hour program focusing on personal, financial, and legal aspects of starting a business will be presented by Judi Mack, Regional Representative for The CenterPoint for Entrepreneurs at Governors State University. Participants will learn what steps to take and what resources are available to assist new business owners succeed.
The Centre-Point for Entrepreneurs at Governors State University is an Illinois Small Business Development Center offering prefessional assistance, counseling, relevant training, and ongoing support services to entrepreneurs. CenterPoint is a service of Governors State University with grant support from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
